Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" goals, offshore photovoltaic power is becoming a new blue ocean in the energy transition. However, pain points such as high salt spray corrosion, complex Marine environments, and insufficient equipment durability have always restricted the large-scale development of offshore photovoltaic projects. Deep Natural Ester Insulating Oil independently developed by Shuangjiang Energy has been successfully applied to the first large-scale offshore pile foundation fixed offshore photovoltaic project in China - the 400MW project of CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan. With innovative technology, it has solved industry problems and injected "green blood" into the efficient, safe and green development of offshore photovoltaic!
The 400MW offshore photovoltaic project of CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan is located in the Laizhou Bay area in the northern part of Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. With a total installed capacity of 400MW, it covers an area of over 800,000 square meters. The construction difficulty of this project can be called the "ceiling of China's offshore photovoltaic" - it has the deepest water depth, the most complex geology and the strictest environmental protection requirements. After the project is fully connected to the grid, it is expected to generate 694 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 532,000 tons, which is equivalent to afforestation on 1,600 hectares.
Where lies the difficulty in offshore photovoltaic construction?
Salt spray corrosion: The concentration of chlorides in the air is 10 to 50 times that in inland areas, and the annual corrosion rate of metal parts exceeds 0.3mm.
Alternating humidity and heat: The Marine environment has high humidity and drastic temperature changes, with an average daily temperature difference that may exceed 20℃.
Ecological red line: The environmental protection requirements for sea areas are strict. The leakage of mineral oil will cause irreversible ecological disasters.
How does Shuangjiang Energy solve the problems in offshore photovoltaic construction?
Full-cycle protection: Deep Natural Ester Insulating Oil is applied in the photovoltaic support units and box-type transformer equipment of the project, and has withstood the triple tests of salt spray, damp heat and temperature difference.
Efficiency revolution: It starts smoothly at a minimum temperature of -30℃, ensuring stable operation of the equipment throughout the entire temperature range;
Ecological win-win: 98% biodegradation rate (0.1% for mineral oil), the project reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 532,000 tons annually, among which the environmental contribution of the insulation system exceeds 15%, achieving a win-win situation for energy development and ecological protection.
In recent years, Shuangjiang Energy has been actively laying out the offshore photovoltaic market. It has successively participated in the construction of several benchmark offshore photovoltaic projects such as the 180MW Xingchen project in Dongshan and the 400MW Zhaoyuan project in Yantai. This not only fills the gap of photovoltaic insulation technology in high-difficulty sea areas in China, but also promotes the leap of offshore photovoltaic from "being able to build" to "being able to build well", providing replicable technical models for the industry!
With the Zhaoyuan project striving to achieve full capacity grid connection by the end of this month, China's offshore photovoltaic industry has officially entered the "deep sea era". Shuangjiang Energy will continue to delve deeply into green insulation technology, expand the application scenarios of liquid cooling media, offshore wind power, etc., join hands with partners to strive for strength at sea, and illuminate the "dual carbon" future with the power of technology!
